The original book is different about important things.I read the original book before i watched this movie a long time ago.She released many books.She said " Why many horrible killers don't pick their own family members?they say "whatever, i didn't care who died."That's not true.They always choose targets, weak fragile one such as child.(or women) "That was the reason she wrote this book.Her book is too dark and it's not my cup of tea.But she has many fans.There're bunch of TV shows based on her novels over here.

And every films about Yu Aoi, Tatsuya Fujiwara, Takayuki Yamada.Miho Kanno(Especially, Guilty) Yonimo kimyo na momo gatari(Best long Tv show, spookey stories)

I’m not a total "nature over nurture" guy (or vice-versa), but Shuya's line "nobody taught me that killing people was wrong," this from a effing thirteen/fourteen year-old, made me want to puke (though it _may be_ that in translation some subtlety is lost). Personally, of the two wretched mothers, I thought the stay-at-home mom, as compared to the electronics prof., was perhaps the more damaging.

When I saw that some of my favorite Boris songs like My Machine, Farewell and Rainbow as well as The xx's Fantasy were featured in this I just had to give it a watch. I surely didn't get disappointed. The songs really give some scenes the right touch, especially My Machine in the beginning. Incredible movie as a whole that made me check out asian cinema more in general and while I have found some other amazing movies like Mother and Oldboy, this still remains my absolute favorite so far. A serious 10/10 imo.

This movie was so good honestly. I remember watching this about 9 years ago. I always rewatch it and it never gets old. I love each character, this movie is so unique and deserved a lot more attention.

I just watched this movie accidentally, because I thought this was a different movie with the same name😂 but not gonna lie, this was dope and very unique. Definitely recommended. A unique combination between psychological horror, gore, thriller and horror. 7/10
